Our Ranges

Richmond Rod & Gun is a world class facility whose ranges are enjoyed by the public and members alike. Several of our programs are the largest on the west coast, we often host regional and national level events which draws competitors from across the country to Richmond, CA.

Pistol and Rifle Range

Open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 AM -10 AM (Regular Members Only), 10 AM - 11 AM (Associate Member Hours), and 11 AM - 4 PM (General Public). 

 

The 25-yard line has 18 lanes for pistol and 22LR firearms and 2 shotgun lanes. There are six 7 yard lanes and 15 other variable lanes at 15 and 25 yards. 

 

The 100-yard line is divided into 50-yard and 100-yard distances. There are 12 positions for centerfire rifles. 

 

The 200-yard line is mainly a competition range, but is usually open 1-2 days a month for shooters who can maintain all shots within the 8-ring at 100-yards. 

 

Rifle Range Fee: $20/hour per shooter for non-members | $5/hour for members (must present membership ID/Slip upon request or you will be charged as a non-member).

Action Range

Open Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM to pre-qualified competitors (except for major matches and events). Static line until 1 PM before USPSA matches.

 

To shoot on the action range, you must complete the RRGC Safe Handgun Competitor Class or earned a classification rating in one of the recognized disciplines (USPSA, IDPA, SASS, or ICORE).

Skeet Range

Open Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. 

 

The skeet range has 4 skeet fields and 1 trap field. 
 

Shooting skeet involves rotating through eight stations along an arch as targets are launched from the high house (on the shooter's left) and low house (right). 

 

Trap shooting involves shooting targets from a central house. Shooters rotate through five stations after five shots. 

Skeet/Trap Fee: $10 for a round of 25-targets per shooter for non-members | $5 per 25-target round for members (must present membership ID/Slip upon request or you will be charged as a non-member).

Since we shoot over the bay, you must purchase our shotgun ammunition as it is non-toxic.
